Good morning all,
I had just restored my master db (to a different server - we are migrating all of the databases on one server to a new server), msdb and model. Removed the suspect user databases (plan on restoring them next) and was in the process of moving the model database when things headed south. I went into the startup paramenters and added the flag -T3608, stopped and started sql server, detached the model db, copied the files to the new location and tried to reattach the model db. Every time I try to reattach I lose my network connection to sql server - in fact no matter what I try to do I lose the connection. I am seeing the following error in the event viewer application log:
SuperSocket info: ConnectionListen(shared-Memory(LPC)):Error 5.
I had gone through this process in the past and never ran into this - the only difference I can think of is this server I moved the db's to is not on the domain and I am using the local system account to run the service instead of a domain account. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
