I'm having some difficulty getting a "Value Prompt" to work on my Prompt page.
I've created a simple customer listing report and tested. I then added a filter on State within the Page Explorer window & when I run the report I get prompted with a dropdown box to select the State, it works.

Here's where I get lost.

Now I created a Prompt Page, dragged a "Value Prompt" onto the page and went thru the wizard. I selected "Existing Parameter", selected my filter, & then clicked Finish. When run the report nothing appears in the dropdown box except the name of the parameter.

The only way I can get the filter I created to work from the Prompt Page is when I place a "Generated Prompt" and then select the filter for State.

How can use other prompts objects on existing filters?
I don't know what I'm missing.

thanks for the help....

Each prompt should be associated through its properties with a use and display value. If you do not define those, then no values will be passed to the corresponding parameter and NO values will show in the prompt when running a report. Did you set use and display values for the prompt?
