Hi All,

At a client we are doing a test for the Ip office softphone to work for them on the ip office server edition version 10.1 build 7
So just to give the info, the Lan 1 is used for customer 1 who has different remote location and Lan 2 is used at customer 2 who also has different remote locations.

Both of them are network wise are independent from each other using vpns from with different internet provider.
All phones are working at each locations.

I am having an issue at customer 2 with the ip softphone.
Lets say for example customer 2 is using the 192.168.43.xxx network, with the pbx being 192.168.43.1 and the firewall that has the vpn programmed is 192.168.43.254.

I have enabled on LAN 2 to use H323 remote extension, enable sip remote extension enabled, with sip domain and sip FQDN with the 192.168.43.1
Added 192.168.43.254 in ip route in gateway for LAN 2 and also filled in DNS 8.8.8.8

When the IT made the vpn on the laptop from his home, he can ping the pbx ip address and I can ping the gateway 192.168.43.254.
But when I installed the software and entered domain 192.168.43.1, it tells me it cannot reach the server.
IS there some that I am missing?

Also what I noticed is when I try to ping 8.8.8.8, it appears with packet loss and that is using Lan 1 as source even though I select LAN 2 as source.
The IT asked if maybe a port forwarding is need, and also all ports are open in the vpn for the test.

Might anyone have an idea if I missed something

Thank you in advance

Hi all,

Just an update, I made a few changes in the pbx and now when I try to login the soft phone, it tells me I have no license, so I guess it must be reaching the server now, for it to send that message.
I have a power user license on the user that I am testing with, shouldn't that work also as softphone is also enabled?
