Hello all , i have a specific L2 equipment(central office) , that its connected to another layer 2 (Remote office).
I have and weird issue, when i connect to the first L2 with my computer and i ping the managment IP of both equipment (central and Remote) i have a lot off packet loss. When i start the Ether Real software i have a good response of both equipment. How i determinated whats its causing this problem in my both L2 equipment , and why when i start the Ether real software i can be able to ping both equipment ??
Somebody can help me ?? Thanks , sorry for my english

The first thing I would suspect is a speed/duplex mismatch between your pc and the switch you are connecting to such as your nic is hardcoded to 100/full and the switchport is set as "auto" for speed and duplex which is a mismatch or the reverse is also true if your nic auto and the switch is set as auto , this causes all kinds of bad performance and dropped packets.

Hello , yes at the first sight i was thinking about it, but then i configured my Nic at Full Duplez and i verified the switch at full duplex
