Hi all,
I am working on a 3750 running ios 12.2(40)se. We are getting alerts in our monitoring software. On one of the devices when I do a show int on the port that the alarm is being reported on, I will see 0 output discards after a few seconds I do this again and it shows several million. Then if run the show int cmd again its back at 0. Can someone help me find out what is causing this to occur and what I can do to pinpoint whatever is causing this?

If its actually doing what you say then thats a IOS bug and you would have to open a cisco tac case .

Vipergg, you are absolutely correct. I contacted them and found that there is a fix in IOS version for this bug in 12.2(44)SE located under CSCsj53001 "The total output drops field in the show interfaces privileged EXEC command output now displays accurate ASIC drops"

Thanks again.
