This is kind of strange one... some laws were passed in our state where gift cards have to valid for 5 years, where most retailers and restaurants had previously been doing a year.
This Aloha customer previously did 18 months for their stand alone gift cards (i.e. it's not eCard).
There is a section under "Certificate Designer" that allows you to specify when the card expires. It works fine up to two years, but if I try to go beyond that, I get an error message saying that the "expiration date is not valid" when trying to issue a new one from the front of house.
Naturally, I was looking for some sort of "conflicting" date set in the gift card program or aloha manager itself that might account for this error. The only other dates I can find are under Certificate Designer in a section called "Campaign Dates" but these dates are with a starting date of year 2000, and and ending date of like 2099, so I dunno how that would be that problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks
