Hi all,

I am having an issue with a registring s sip trunk on the avaya ip office server edition ver 11.1.2.4
I recieved the ip info the from the provider that the pbx should reach

I will be using other example ip's tp explaine the issue
Ip for sip trunk 112.25.254.3 with authen tication port 5060 and 5061
RTP ip address 12.25.254.5 and 12.25.254.6

I have tried to configure this but have not have any success

I have entered ITPS domain 12.25.254.3 and itps proxy 12.25.254.3, using topology lan 1
Selected sip credentials tab to enter the user name, authentication name, contact with the username given with password.
Also filled in call details and selected he credentials shown in local uri and contact.
But the trunk stays out of service.

Does anyone have an idea if there something else that needs to be configured?

Thank you in advance

Have you tried point the ITSP to 112.25.254.3?

If you didn't set up DNS on the system enter the IP address in the transport tabs as well. ITSP Proxy.

What is the network topology in LAN-1 ? Does it reflect your public IP address?

Confirm the ITSP address is 112.25.254.3 - that comes back as China Mobile, while the RTP addresses 12.25.254.5 and .6 are AT&T. Perhaps the ITSP is 12.25.254.3?

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the confusion I forgot to mention that the ip's I gave are examples ip's instead of the real ip's, as to explaine the scenario.
I added it now in the first post.

Westi: I don't get a reply for registration, in the system status the trunk out of service

IPOTS: I did try both the ITSP and the ITSP proxy

Let give some more info on this
The provider will be moving the physical E1 to digital sip trunk.
On the client site the ISP provider has catalyst cisco switch that is connecting to the ISP through fiber.
On the client site a separate WAN3 port (dhcp) was created on the client firewall so that they can connect to a port of the catalyst switch and the firewall WAN3 will recieve an IP ( example 112.25.118.45/255.255.252.0)
ISP is giving this IP to the firewall port WAN3
THe firewall was the programmed that the so that the PBX should be able to see th example ip's 112.25.254.3, 112.25.254.5, 112.25.2545.5

Again apoligies for confusion on the ip's

I figured it out.

Seems you need to leave ITSP domain empty and also in contact you need to enter the IP of the provider sip address.
Got the line to be idle, now the provider needs to check something and they will let me know

Thank you all

I have found that if you do not have a DNS address in the System>DNS you would have to manually enter the IP on the ITSP Proxy Address.
If the DNS is configured you leave it blank.
