Sorry if this is answered somewhere else. I looked but didn't find it.

I only have one Merlin Legend that I still work on, and very rarely work with this system. The manager is
trying to put an individual cover button on one extension (x106) for his extension (x198). There is already
a button set up on a few other phones but only around 3 or 4. When we try to add the button using either
the *40 code or in centralized programming, the button we chose just flashes green and goes out, and the button
remains blank. Is this possibly because there are eight extensions that are already covering x198? I saw in
the manuals there is a way to see how many extensions have a coverage of x198, but I couldn't find it in the
central programming (and I cannot get WinSPM to work on any of my laptops). Can I go to Centralized Programming
and Print to print out the coverage listing? I saw something about that after I had left the site.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

You really need WINSPM. A simple PRINT of the extension will tell you what you need to know.

You could get by with "Standard DOS SPM", but that would be too hard to find and use.

So, let's see if we can get your WINSPM working.

The 1st thing to check is the compatibility setting of the program.

In the AVAYA SOLUTIONS folder, right click the "executable", the .exe file.

This should show you the compatibility.

I usually set it for XP.

If that doesn't work, feel free to let us know.

My webpage might help you get in touch........

Thanks for the response, Merlinman. I do have WinSPM running on my newest work laptop, although I haven't
had great luck connecting with it. You had basically echoed what I had found in the manuals (that it
is best to just do through SPM), and I'll try that if I go back over there. Thanks for the website link, too!
