Hi - I have a sharepoint site and nobody, not even admin or contributors, can add/upload information to ANY lists - When we try to add content (by hitting NEW button) for a list type, the page opens to add the information; however, the page is not editable meaning that it looks like it is "read only". We cannot edit any information. Can someone give me ideas where to look? Could it be security related - although admin/contributors cannot upload either - nobody can. Anyway, any ideas as to where to look? Thanks!!!

Given that it happens to all your lists, this is a long shot. But could it be that the lists are no longer inheriting permissions from the site? That could explain why the site owners/contributers can't amend the lists.

In SharePoint 2007 you can check that by opening the list (as an owner), clicking Settings, List Settings, then choosing 'Permissions for this list'.

The inheritance status is shown just above the Actions button and the full list of users/groups is shown below.
