Issue exporting to CSV

We are using CR Professional product version 9.2.3.632.

We suppress lines of data on the report depending on content, ie if 0 then suppress otherwise dont suppress. Standard stuff, you would think.
When I export to a CSV file however none of the information that contains a supression fomula is exported, anyone know a way around this issue?

I don't understand, you want to suppress while viewing, but not while exporting? If so, you misunderstand what suppression does.

Or is it that the elements that are involved in the suppression formula but are not suppressed don't get exported?

There are monthly hotfixes, try applying those.

You might also try character separated values and use a comma.

I am having the same issue:
I need to export in character separated values
I have 3 types of records that display different info
ie detail a = name address city
detail b = name city state
detail c = name zipcode
when I export each record displays:
name address city state zipcode

This is unacceptable for the purposes of this file (data entry in another system, they dictate the requirements). Text export won't work because some of the b records get long and cr starts throwing in line feeds.

I need to find a solution soon.

we get around it by using the following -

not exactly perfect but a work around - unless you are using version 9.0 of cr - then a few more issues crop up.

So we had to dum cr and write a .NET module to perfrom the work.

We decided to just write a class in java to do it. 15 min later I was done.

Crystal causes too much stress.

I just don't understand why exporting can't be wysiwyg?

its the way cr - is you either conform to there way of doing it or do it out side the app - we get around a lot of issues by creating modules for users -
have a good one
