I have a general question. i am looking for bandwidth statistics based on x number of users over specific telecom media. ie 3000 users over a DS3, or T3, all the way up to 30000 users on a DS3 or OC3 medium. Does anyone know where I could find these statisitcal reports to review?

THanks

I think your best bet would be asking a telcom...Don't know if they publish those kinda of stats

I don't know where you could find specific reports but I've got a good working knowledge of bandwidth requirements. For most corporate environments, you'll find a T1 is most ample even up over 1000 users. It all depends on the type of traffic as well. If most of the users are restricted from surfing and the majority of traffic is e-mail, I'd estimate a T1 would be fine even up over 3000 users. If you maintain servers used by the public such as web servers, that changes everything as you have to size for your use as well as the public's use (or customer's use).
