ISO : Filename validation class

I would appreciate someone pointing me to a Filename validation class or actually several.

ISO classes that can determine whether char strings are
1) valid windows filenames [based on win 2k/win xp filename 'standards' (hic)]
2) valid unix std filenames
3) valid posix portable filenames
