I need to know how to prevent users from responding to messages for their own jobs. If they are running something and it fails so they can't go in an Cancel or restart. I need to set it up that it needs to be done by the system admin. Thanks

I would give this a shot.

revoke authority to their message q such that they only had read, and add authority. i think that will allow them to see what's in the q and add new messages but not be able to change or delete messages. be sure that any admin id's have all authority to the q.

have not tried this.

You could change the message queue on their profile to qsysopr or something that doesn't need monitored all of the time. I'll have to test this one.
