Hi,

I have taken over the in house support for an ISDX, it seems as though I have Level 1 user 0 access, I need to use the Level2 user 0 access to reset the software. the last in house support guy has left and along with him is the password, is there any way to have the password reset remotely, and if so how can I go about doing this without being stung by Siemens who want to charge £400.00 for the pleasure!

Any assistance is appreciated

Iain

What is the The Header of the System? If the passwords are off the header this is quite easy.

Passwords are made of various combinations,

osl 01 (level) 00 (user),
the next part at default is made by using 01(level)xxxx(4 digits from the header, the digits after the site letters,
ie, hart2345,
And year, ie 1998,

This together in a string would be osl 01 0 0123451998>

I hope this helps, if in doubt post your header and I or others will have a guess.

Mal.
