I am setting up a Meridian soon and the phone co are providing a main number eg 0112 203 4060 with a DDI range of: 0112 203 4060-4079. This will be presented on 8 channels of Primary Rate.
Shouldnt I have asked for a MAIN number ie one which is going to act as the Pool Line Key for the 8 channels .which would not be in the DDI range? And then have 20 DDI numbers as a seperate setting.
It seems to me that the main number being presented is a DDI number and I am not sure the Meridian will ring if set to a Pool Key(A).

The main number is the pilot for your T1/E1 & is part of the ddi range.

so what's a "Pool Key(A)". You haven't got one of those funny little key phone thingys have you. If you have post in the appropriate forum. If you have got a Meridian the you can send the pilot to where ever you want although its normal to amke the associated extn an LDN, which you must have assigned for IDC to work.

sounds like a norstar..
