having an issue with bringing an isdn30 into service in Guernsey as I have done others in the UK and elsewhere.

the setup is as we would do for a UK isdn30 - etsi , hdb3 , etc

the local engineer tested good to their exchange right at the handoff prior to the PABX in that they could see it up and receive calls.

we used the same patch cord to our PABX MM711 DS1 board that they used for testing so it's good to Avaya.

reached out to one of their engineers as well and he confirmed they are indeed etsi , hdb3 and nothing special after that.

I see a " fail test # 141 " with no error code ( yellow )

description
" The DS1 interface circuit pack detected a yellow alarm sent by the remote DS1 endpoint. An out of frame condition occurred at the DS1 endpoint."

as soon as they connect to the engineer's tester it comes up-

swapped out the card and rebooted the PABX still not coming into service.

am I missing something on my ds1 setup?

would anyone have a ds1 config and trunk group config for a known good setup in Guernsey?

cheers !

I'm from the States, so probably just butting in. It sounds like a protocol miss-match, if you stat the signal group does it show its up? You might want to post your DS1 config too. I have had PRIs show the B channels as good, but calls would get rejected because the D channel had a slightly different setting (a vs b). MST trace might also give you some more insight on the Avaya side

the signal group is not in-service ( channel 16 ) thus the voice channels are out-of-service

Hi

Being UK based (but not Guernsey I'll admit) Our DS! config is slightly different

1) We use Alerting fro internetworking message
2) Country code 10 rather than etsi (even though our ISDN are ETSI complaint) and protocol version b

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

many thanks for the replies,

Matt > good to know never done anything but ETSI

latitude12 > figued that out as the provider sent me their setup when requsted and everything but CRC matched.

enabled for y and the signal group came up

but the voice channels are not

far end idle ( provider ) near end OSS ( Avaya ) had the provider busy / release the d channels as well as the voice channels

signal group comes in-service but alas not the voice

cheers !
