We have an MD110 with network connectivity using DPNSS, this carries both internal traffic and traffic for PSTN & International.

Traditionally i know there have been issues with interoprability between ISDN (QSIG) & DPNSS.

So my question is this, if i want to install some ISDN2 cards into the MD110 so that they route out over the DPNSS, will this work?

The ISDN2 will have a primary use of Video Conferencing.

Any tips, advise or prcatical examples greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Al

ISDN2 ??

you need TLU76/2 board for TL50 (DPNSS)

whosrdaddy hi mate and thanks for your post, the question is not so much on the boards that i require.. it is more will ISDN2 traffic from VC equipment be allowed to route and function correctly if directed out over DPNSS.

We have not purchased anything yet, and currently we only have 30 channel DPNSS on the MD. Should we buy the cards for ISDN2 and add them to the PABX or should we just purchase ISDN2 circuits from BT, rather than supply them off of the PABX ?

well it depends on cost:

what is more expensive:

hire a BT circuit or buy a TLU79/1 (+licenses)?
Doing it via the MD110 should not pose a compatibility problem.
