Hi !

I'm stuck with a brand new Nortel ARN running IP Access 15.1
the router is used to dial up another private network through a standard ISDN line. I've defined all the necessary params. like demand-pool, demand-circuit and so on. no problem at all for this part. the problem is the router refuse to dial when i try to ping the other network ! it's not an IP problem, but rather an ISDN config problem. When looking at the log file, I always get the same error: "Searching demand-pool 1 for an available base line" I've already tried to replace the ISDN module with another one, but no results, i've tried to connect it to another ISDN Line, still the same message !

Help !

Clear the log, carry out the same test to get the router to dial out again and then type the following:-

log -eSWSERV

Pate the output in this forum and i can take a look at the issue.

Regards

I've been talking with Nortel Tech Support and here is the clue: The Phone Number Type was NOT defined as ISDN ?!
Just after modifying this small param, everything suddenly worked fine !

have you sorted out the caller resolution table. Have you set the demand circt to demand rather than hot standby. Have you configured the ISDN module.

Also is the demand circit in the correct demand pool
