Hello all,

I have recently acquired a Teleos Model 20 Switch. I have been able to establish layer 1 and 2 on my routers but can't call through. I get rejected due to cause code 32.. which is vendor specific. I have a feeling it is to do with SPIDS. Does anybody have a working config of switch that i could get a copy of then i can just upload that to my switch via NMC software??

The Switch also comes with a PRI T1 interface, I believe from what i have seen that this port is only used to receive incoming signal - can someone confirm/deny this?

The switch also comes equiped with RS366A ports - has anyone successfully configured these ports to do any ATM-DXI /SMDS stuff?> i found that these were the two encapsulations that remained in up up state when i changed encapsulations around..

Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated,

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

I can probably help you out, I've configured dozens of Teleos systems over the past several years. Its unlikely for anyone to have a profile that would work with yours without modifying it. Everyone has a slightly different application. No two profiles are alike, ever. I can dial in for you and take a look...

Is it a 1T/2P/8B? What type of video codec are you using with it (if any)? You said you have a router, a BRI router? Maybe a Cisco 700 series?

The RS-366 ports are for dialing, V.35 for data. Madge never did put any high-speed networking like Ethernet, ATM or Token Ring into this line of product. Its just a mini telco switch / IMUX with capabilities for video conferencing or customer telephony networks.

I have NMC and hopefully the right rev to connect with you. Its not too big a deal to upload the profile and take a look...

Ciao,
Lazarus
