I have 2 ISDN-PRIs going in 1 trunk group for DID/DOD service. is there a rule of thumb on when to set them up with a FAS signaling group with each circuit having 23B channels and 1 D or NFAS with one circuit having 23B and a primary D and the other circuit with 23B and a secondary D channel? What's the advantage of one type signaling over the other?

My opinion is that stick with FAS. NFAS is nice in that you do gain one b channel but if you lose the primary t-1 on NFAS you will lose access to the second PRI. Just make sure that when you order FAS that the carrier builds in the rollover between the two is you want the DID's rolling to all 46 available channels.

I agree, 1 timeslot is not worth all the hazzle.
Whatever you choose, keep in mind the clocking of your local system...
