A co-worker recently had the Nimda virus infect her computer, including the Windows System file, CFGWIZ32.EXE,
which configures ISDN connections. I reinstalled the
components that were damaged by the virus, including this
one. However, we use DSL to connect to the Internet. Now
when her computer starts it opens an ISDN set-up wizard.
I don't want to delete the file because then she gets a
message at start-up saying that no ISDN driver is
installed. I went to Control Panel and Internet
Connections and made sure "Never dial a connection" was
checked off. I went to Network options, but am afraid to
delete one adapter that is used for ISDN. What is the
best way to handle this problem? I truly appreciate any
help that may be offered. As a small nonprofit, we
unfortunately do not have a significant budget for when
problems like this arise and this Newsgroup could prove to
be a real help. Thanks in advance!
