Hi guys,
I am an ISDN newbie and need your help to set up a small remote site. I am based at the corporate headquarters which is connected to other big branch offices by means of an MPLS network.
I now need to connect a very small (4 user site)into the MPLS network for direct connectivity to all other nodes within the MPLS framework. They will need to connect to the head office to access the servers - exchange etc.
To achieve this, I am using a remote MPLS dialler given by my provider (BT) to connect to the local PoP.
Apologies for going on , I will specifically need your help with:
1. Setting up the router (I bought a 1721 as we want to use the router for another site that requires a modular router later in the future) to automatically dial the MPLS number - needs to incorporate all the BT settings (DNS etc) that the dialler has.
2. Set up the users authenticated by BT on the router so they will not need to log in each time. I want it transparent to the users.
3. I will connect the lan interface on the router to a hub and connect all 4 pc's and printers to the hub. I want users to just click on their outlook icon and the router dials the connection........
4. I need to set idle timeouts so we dont get exhorbitant phone bills.
5. Anything else I need to do but currently cant remember
I would appreciate any help at all as I have a tight deadline. I have been reading up on it as well but usually anyone with similar experience would be better able to help. I would be grateful to see some config examples that I can just fill-in-the gaps!!
Thank you.
