Can someone enlighten me on the difference between the main number of of a prime and DIDs? At my location I have what I consider to be the main number on our primes as xxx-248-xxxx. I then have DID blocks that are in the xxx-914-xxxx range. This seems strange to me but is the way it is. Is there a difference between main number and DIDs or is this main number just considered another DID to the switch? The reason I am asking is because I am programing a switch and can get DIDs to dial in fine but get a fast busy when dialing in on the main number. Even stranger to me is that when I dial out it works fine and shows the main number as the received number on my cell.
