Our company has a Cisco 7200 router connected through ISDN to a remote office as backup for the other modem (256 kB).
When the original modem goes down the ISDN modem establishes a connection.
My problem is that the ISDN interface goes up and down all the time. It stays up for a couple of seconds and then return to it´s correct state (down, since the original modem is working fine).
We use Sniffer and SNMP to monitor our connections. The SNMP Software keeps sending alerts (every 5 seconds) because of the link trap up/down messages.
why is it like this?
Is it the SNMP software that´s misconfigured? (since "show interface x" looks all right)
