Question - I haven't been a member for a terribly long time and want to find out - is there a place other than search bar that I can consider when attempting to find answers on this site? - the reason I ask is that I went to avaya for this ISDN denial event and the value of this information is quantifiable to the tune of $600 for the 30 minutes it to the tech to open the ticket - take my information and then start looking up in their database that they had a related issue with the ISDN error 1166 -

Problem - calls over an H.323 Trunk would do the call setup and progress successfully, but after varying times the call would drop with the ISDN denial event "abnormal ISDN drop" 1166

Solution - the fix was to stroke the signaling group field "Calls Share IP Signaling Connection?" to "N"

Editorial - I'm having a hard time believing that this hasn't been seen a 100 times and wondering if this info is buried somewhere deep within the records of this website. This TEK-TIPS forum is better that sliced bread - I'd rather like to believe that the info is here, and that I'm just not looking hard enough. I hope someone benefits from this 1166 info...

Kind regards to all...

Thanks for sharing what you have learned here with the rest of us. It will come up again and someone will benefit from your post. That is pretty much what this site is about. People helping people. You did. Thank you.

Here is another site for looking up events. It is a pretty site and it is free to join.

Hell, there are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something.
