Hi.

I just installed a new computer and have a weird problem with my ISDN connection. It calls up and connect to my ISP, but it loose data transfer immediatly, before I can load a single web page. It stays connected until I disconnect.

The Hardware are>
Asus P4C800 Mother board
P4 2.6 PC800 Processor
TwinMos PC 3200 1024 MB Dual Pack RAM
Seagate Barracuda 120GB S-ATA 8MB Cache Harddrive
MSI GeForce FX 5600 VTDR128 Graphic card
Eicon Diva 2.02 PCI ISDN card

I am running on windows XP, with all updates installed.

The Device manager does not show any problems related to the card. I tested the card in my old PC, with win XP, and it was working fine, so the card is not the problem.

I have tried everything i can think of with this problem.

Installed new drivers from Eicon.
Tried to apply a fix for fast computers from Eicon.
Reinstalled XP several times.(with changing the priority on installing the drivers from time to time)
Tried to move the ISDN card to another PCI slot.
Disabled almost evrything with the device manager to see if there was any conflicts that did not show. No luck.
Tried all different parameters on ISDN card and Dial up connection.

I am able to ping web adresses while connected.
When setting computer in network with my old computer, and use the old one to connect, I am able to access internet normal from the new computer.
I suspect it is a software problem, as the Device manager does not detect any problems, but who knows..

Now I am out of Ideas, so I hope there is a kind person out there that can help me before I go crazy....

Hi,

Where are you trying to connect?

I suspect that this is to do with V110/V120/x.25 incompatibility? Or your PPP settings, some ISP need different PPP settings.

I have the same problem with my INTRACOM NETMOD. Tell me something, is your old machine running Windows 98?
