Hi I have 2 cisco 1812's

each has an isdn line
my setup is for testing purposes , so i have a pc in fe0 in router A and pc in fe0 in router B. in doing a simple ping test the isdn connection does not get established for at least 12 seconds. have you any tips in getting these to connect any quicker. we have a number of remote offices that use a range of 1600,1700 and 2000 routers all which connect almost instantly.

cheers

Just in case anyone does read this. the problem lay in the fact we had an ISDN2 with 4 channels. Even with only one piece of kit connected it takes 12-15 seconds to connect. BT reduced this number to 2 channels and all is normal, virtually instant connection.
