Does anyone out there know of a good ISDN BRI VoIP Media Gateway that will support both European and US ISDN Protocols? Seems the several I have found will only support European.

Looking to tie a Norstar in Atlanta to a Harris in Brazil via ISDN BRI ports on both sides.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Perry

Have you looked at using the Norstar VoIP Gateway.

The Norstar VoIP Gateway is a four port VoIP trunk-side networking solution that enables voice applications to be handled over the data infrastructure. The VoIP Gateway allows existing small multi-site Norstar customers to enter into the VoIP environment in a cost effective manner while providing an opportunity for large multi-site companies with Norstar systems to migrate their voice network to IP at their own pace.

The Norstar VoIP Gateway is an external box that interfaces to the Norstar CICS and MICS system over up to four loop start analog lines, providing a 10/100 Base T Ethernet connection LAN.

What a Norstar VoIP Gateway allows you to do:

Private Network Dialing

Caller ID from originating Norstar to destination Norstar user

Interoperability with other Nortel Networks systems

Distributed and supported by Nortel Networks

Browser-based OAM

Thanks for the info, but the Brazil side is not a Norstar. That is why we are looking to ISDN BRI to connect them together. Just can't get a Media Gateway that talks both European and US BRI protocols.
Thanks,
Perry

why a BRI? ... nad not any other type of connectivity
bri is a dialup/ per call line

The Norstar in Atlanta is Maxed out on T-1 connections and they want 4 digit dialing between Atlanta and Brazil so we can't go with C.O. Trucnks tied to the Media Gateways. D-Channel messaging is the way to handle this. But the Media Gateways I have seen so far only support International ISDN protocols for the D-Channel signaling.

Thanks,
Perry
