ISDN and Blocked Calls 2

I have a Magix/Hybred mode with a Verizon "flexpath" T1 ISDN but no PRI service. When someone calls out from that site it's says unknown or Verizon ISDN 801. If the called person has "unknown calls" blocked it fails. Is PRI the only fix here?

Thanks in advance,

Mike NH

papagigo1,

Your statement does not make sense. PRI is short for Primary rate ISDN. ISDN is available in two types: Basic rate or BRI, and Primary rate or PRI. PRI is provisioned on DS1 as the physical transport. So you need to clarify what this Verizon "flexpath" is.

How is your Magix 100D module configured, post a print please. There are specific fields to populate on the Legend/Magix for outgoing call ID.

The Merlin Guess Gods have told me that the Flexpath is a dynamic Network/PRI T1 and that merlinman may have it right by suggesting the easy way out.

Jim I agree, it didn't make sense.
I should have dug a little deeper and I would have found the answer. There was nothing to print in the "PRI info", just the "T1 setup" below. I will try Merlinman's "easy way out".

Thanks all !

Well, if there is nothing to print in the PRI section, then it's probably not PRI.

I would do a PRINT of General Trunk info, Tie Lines and D-I-D and see if we can determine just what you are dealing with.

But my first guess is that the Service Provider can send the info.

UNLESS it gets proven to be PRI ultimately, which I doubt.

Like I said, I should have dug deeper and not taken the customer's word for it...

A GENERAL TRUNK INFORMATION

You have 24 Channels of "something".

What ever it is, it's back to my 1st response, and the response that Telecomboy provided.

We can't send the Outbound Caller ID except on PRI, and it's not PRI.

So, it boils down to:

It's them, not us.

-merlinmansblog.blogspot.com

Have you tried calling one of the ID numbers, like 800-444-4444, and see what you get for line ID? That might reveal something... Also look @ the trunk info and post that list. It should show what its configuration is, then we will all know.

....JIM....

Thanks to all,

Looks like I need to contact "them" and see if they can send at least the main listed number..I wonder what 911 gets from this location?

Mike
