Hi,
(Quick Background)
I currently have 1 ISA W2K server Box that is running inside my LAN with 2 Internal NIC's with 2 Internal IP's (using port 8080). It is used for Web Proxy/Filter only. The North(External)card is allowed to go out to the Separate Firewall box. The South(Internal) card is what all clients point to for Web Proxy. Since it is all internal, DNS/WINS points to South(internal) card. System works very well as is. I Also have Large Cache configured and run all my workstation windows updates through this box. Cuts download time significantly, but theres a better soloution.
Now that Microsoft is starting to get the bugs worked out on Software update Server (SUS). I have installed the SUS and started basic IIS functions. Wondering if anyone else has tried this so far? Can't seem to figure out if I should be putting SUS on the External Card and pointing autoupdate to the External IP, or Putting SUS on the Internal card and Creating some sort of TCP packet filter for TCP for DNS and HTTP. I believe it should work by pointing to the Internal Card, Just having no luck getting it to work.....
Any suggestions or direction would be appreciated...
Stephen
