Good afternoon,

My name is Héctor Camacho, I am analyst of systems of the Address of Technologies of Information and Communications of the University Central of Venezuela, I am carrying out an investigation on ISA Server 2004. I have gotten some how many characteristic of this product in the portals of Microsoft; however I have some questions that I wait they can answer me.

ISA Server 2004
* Does it support clients linux?
* Does it support another types of browsers that the Internet Explorer is not?
* Does NAT(Network Address Translation support)?
* Does it work with multiple domains?
* Authentication mechanisms?
* Does it process clients' petitions that don't belong to a domain?
* Can you only enable the Proxy Server and Web Caching (disabling the firewall)?
* Is the proxy server public? Can it be invisible to external clients?
* How you can block the traffic of instant messenging (MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, etc)

Thanks

* Does it support clients linux?

That depends on how you use the ISA server.

* Does it support another types of browsers that the Internet Explorer is not?

Yes

* Does NAT(Network Address Translation support)?

I forgot :)

* Does it work with multiple domains?

Depending on what you want to use it for.

* Authentication mechanisms?

RADIUS, Pass through, web forms...

* Does it process clients' petitions that don't belong to a domain?
* Can you only enable the Proxy Server and Web Caching (disabling the firewall)?

Yes

* Is the proxy server public? Can it be invisible to external clients?

Not public unless you make it public. Yes, invisible and probably the suggested method.

* How you can block the traffic of instant messenging (MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, etc)

It should default to block these, but the link provided above talks about creating rules to specifically block those.
