hi all,

before i start: YES, ME IS A BEGINNER

just a quick question:

we have a w2k server (DC) with AD & DNS & DHCP and we have a standalone w2k server (ISA) with isa installed also with dns

so far all is working BUT we would like to have only 1 dns installed prefferably on the w2k DC and have that resolve internet addresses

we are a very small company, what would be the best configuration, is it good to have the dns installed as mentioned above on the dc or should we only have it installed on the ISA or both or should we have isa installed on the DC, there is a total of 10 workstations in the company

any info would be greatly appreciated

cheers

It really doesn't matter much. ISA does not require DNS on the server that ISA is installed on. You could very eaisly have just one DNS server on your DC. That would not be a problem for ISA.
