How do I add an ISA USR modem in Linux MAndrake 7

check to see if it is a "winmodem"
if it is you cant use it.
otherwise it should answer on one of the standard
comm ports.
sorry i can't be more specific...not that familiar with the mandrake distribution.

How do I log in as an Administrator.
It isnt a win modem..
All i really want is a dial in server, Right now I have a WIndows2000 server with RAS so i can dial into it from home and access the internet using my dsl,It works fine for windows but I would like to do it with Linux, Do you have any advice as to which is the best way to go...

You need to login as root. If you set up the PC, then you would have had to set the password for root as well. Mary :)

Rule 1: Don't sweat the small stuff.
Rule 2: EVERYTHING is small stuff!! X-)

I did but when it boots it takes me to a login screen and gives me a session type of which I choose KDE and it takes me to the desktop ,Should I do it a different way.
I have just set this up Maybe I did it wrong...
