I’m running ISA along with a number of other Win2K servers. The ISA is acting as Firewall and Proxy. I have set-up a new intranet under IIS on a W2K AD server. I have set-up a virtual directory so that users can replace and change existing xls, pdf and doc files without any intervention from me. Some of the available info is in restricted folders. When you open the browser the user is asked for basic authentication. This gives them access to most of the intranet info but if they access any info in a restricted folder they are asked for their basic authentication details again. This work very well except that when they enter their login details (assuming they have access) the system takes a long time to bring up the requited info. If the enter their login details prefixed with the domain\, the info appears immediately. I assumed the problem was related to the ISA not being an AD server, so I just added it to the AD tree and it has made no difference. Any ideas

John
