ISA can't access doamin of which it's a member

I have a Windwos 2000 member server SP3 running ISA. All is well with web publishing users access and email. The only problem is that I can't seem to enumerate users or groups from the domain the server is joined to. Sometimes it does work very very slowly. But most times not at all.

Anyone have any ideas?

Bonehead. It was a DNS problem. DNS servers only go on the internal netowrk connectiod.
