Hello,
I am trying to configure ISA to log to a seperate sql 2000 server on our network and I am running in to a problem. Here is what I have don thusfar
1) I have created the sql database and webproxylog table using the w3proxy.sql file on the isa CD.
2) I have created a system DSN on the ISA server and the connection tests out fine.
3) I have enabled the logging system policies and allowed remote logging to all machines on my internal network.
4) I have disabled the logging alert event that disables the firewall service when logging fails.
5) I switched my web proxy logging from MSDE to SQL using the DSN I just created.
As soon as I switch proxy logging from MSDE to SQL and hit apply I get an error saying...
"The confiuration changes were saved to storage, but at least on service failed to load these changes. The event log may include addition information on possible reasons for failure."
At this point, the firewall service stops and I can no longer ping or access my ISA server remotely.
The event log says "invalid ODBC log credentials"
I am stumped I have tried using NT authentication in the DSN using the domain admin account which is the owner of my SQL db. I so not know why I am receiveing this error in ISA considering that the ODBC connection passes when I test it.
I have also tried using SQL authentication using a sql user account as well as the sa account. I receive the same problem.
Another thing that stumps me is that I have disabled the alert event to stop the firewall service if logging fails...and it still stops when logging fails.
Any ideas as to what I am missing here???
