Once in a while I like to look at the list of 'VFP Experts' and I don't find UpstateNewYorker on the lists no matter what I index on. I know there are occasional 'visitor's who wouldn't appear on the list, but I thought that if you have 'Programmer' behind your name, you were a member and should be on the list. --Just interested

Dave,
I believe the top "experts" are based on the number of stars they've received for the answers they've provided. (The actual order is also based on how many "recently".)

Just posting questions doesn't get you any recognition, and posting answers no one finds useful or even if they don't bother to acknowlegde the usefulness also doesn't help.

To see some details, click on the (Full List) link in the "This Forum's Top Expert's" box.

I guess that's it. When I resort I still don't get anyone with 0 stars, though different people do show up on the list. Thanks. --DED

Though I suppose I could give him a star sometime... just to see how many questions and messages he has. ;-)

To see the posts a person has made, just click on the name of the person. Fox example.. click on UPSTATENEWYORKEY you will get the statistics. USNY has started 48 threds so far. ramani :-9

That's true Ramani. I'd forgotten I could do it that way. Still my real 'joy' is looking at tables of data and drawing conclusions not obvious on the surface. I probably should have been a stockbroker or something instead of a programmer. --Dave
