is an upgrade license required for upgrading ipo admin software from 7.0.5 to 7.0.12?

7.0.5 is already installed in ipo500 PABX. i have removed the 7.0.5 and installed 7.0.12 newly. Should i just connect my laptop to PABX and chose file----advanced-----upgrade. will it automatically get upgraded without any issue?

No Upgrade lic required, however you could take it up to 7.0.27

i am in the site and it is taking a hell lot of time...i am afraid that will the SD card will be full? when we upgrade from 7.0.5 to 7.0.12 will the old files be deleted or will it be there in SD card itself...i am new to avaya..

It takes a long time to copy all files to the SD card but the upgrade itself is done in a couple of minutes.
And yes the files will be deleted.

@tlpeter..thanks very much....my heart was in my mouth when i saw around 2400 files to be uploaded to SD card..you relieved me.....

so should i do the reprogramming again or send the old configuration in my PC back to the PABX?

The config will stay the same.
It will not be overwritten.

The 2400 files is a joke and they changed it in release 8.
The most files are embedded voicemail language files and the most are not used at all.
