I found this item for sale, and I'm wondering if it is the Phaser 850 upgrade to duplex. The seller doesn't seem to know. The seller calls it "Tektronix Xerox 850 Formatter I/O Logic Board 64MB Ram" and says the part number is 671483151.

Is that the upgrade?

I've searched the Internet and Xerox website and haven't found my answer.

I would request a recheck of that number. My service manual shows a 156-4831-00 which is a 64meg memory SODIMM for the 860/8200 printer. The needed part to enable duplex is 671-5299-00 which is the code ROM DIMM. If what he has is just memory that alone will not enable the duplex feature. The Base model comes with 32meg memory, the upgrade feature will include the additional 32meg of for a total of 64meg of memory and the firmware DIMM to enable other features such as 2 sided printing.
