A friend's PC has picked up the 'win32 Agent.azsy' Trojan and a bit of Googling has revealed that the site remove-malware.net offers a free download for getting rid of it.

Before I recommend this to her, does anyone know whether remove-malware.net is legitimate? I've tried Googling it but it's still hard to tell whether it's a legit site.

Thanks

It appears to be as they download they offer is Spyware Doctor, which is a good program, however, not free. What antivirus is installed on the infected pc?

Also, a few free good programs are listed below. Antiviruses, the reason I am asking, can conflict with other ones. In the mean time, here are a few malware removal programs that are free.

Super anti spyware

Malware Bytes Anti Malware

CCleaner (actually this is a temp remover but malware installers hide in temp locations many of times)

Ah, I thought the download on the virus-specific page was just for removing that one particular threat.

She has Norton but that says her machine is clean. She's very non-technical but I'll recommend those links to her and cross my fingers that she can figure out how to use them. She's an old work colleague so I can't visit and sort it out myself.

Thanks
