need to import .pdf document into excel spreadsheet...can this be done...Thanks

It is possible to embed a PDF into an excel document. However it will behave as an embedded object which means you wont be able to edit the text/data normally.

If you are trying to paste the text or data from a PDF into a .xls you may be out of luck. Some PDF's will allow you to copy text directly from them and paste it into other editable formats however you often lose formatting in the process.

What excatly are you trying to accomplish?

want to take data that is in columns on a pdf to excel spreadsheet...pdf document has elements that change each week, month, quarter on different elements...would basically like to take the .pdf file and replace the each time needed to...not just those elements that change...kind of given up on this one...Thanks

You can open any PDF in Illustrator, to change text, or photoshop to alter a photograph and resave it, the changes happen live in the PDF, as long as you save as pdf that is.

first - can you get to the person who made the PDF, and have them give you a copy of the original spreadsheet?

second possibility - get a copy of WordPerfect X3, the Professional edition, which can open PDF files and make them editable in other formats.
