Is this possible with GetURL?

I have created a drop-down menu in flash. When the user selects one of the options, a getURL is invoked that loads a new web page. What I would like is the drop menu to appear on this new page just how the user left it (without the movie being reset...eg. certain options expanded). I realize this may not be possible as the web page has to load the movie...but are there any features (such as using variables between web pages) that may make this possible?

Hope this makes sense!

Thanks..
Rich.

Passing variables from one page to an other is one thing, passing a whole set of menu items' states (probably different from user to user), might be a big challenge!
Couldn't you use a frameset, with a top or left navigation frame, and a main display frame where the pages would be loaded. That way the navigation would remain in it's lat state when opening any link in the main frame. Regards,
