is this possible? to link spreadsheets to Flash?

Hi.

Is it possible to have flash launch certain spreadsheets from within an excel book?

I heard someone discuss something about .bat files a while ago ... the fscommand "exec" only starts a program, you can't specify the document it opens ... however, if you link to a .bat file, you should be able to open the program AND state the file to open. A certain sheet out of a book might be a little more tricky, but it's worth a shot.

I don't know what to write in the .bat file, but I'm sure you should be able to find a tutorial on BAT files somewhere on the web. Or maybe someone here knows ... *cue helpful Samaratin*

all you need is this in notepad :

@echo off
start file.xls

save as excel.bat

then just call it from flash Regards

What command do you use in flash? Get url? FScommand?
I've never used fscommand before. Is it simple?
