Is This PC Configuration Good??

Ok Everybody,

First of all Thanks for all the Help. This is the Configuration
I decided on:

XP PRO

Intel Core2 Duo E4500 2.2GHz 2M 800Mhz Processor

3GB DDR2 PC5400 Memory

160GB 7200 RPM 3G SATA II Hard Drive

320GB 7200 RPM Usb External Hard Drive

20X Lightscribe DVDRW Dual Layer Drive

I Already Own a External Single Layer DVDRW Drive

GeForce 7300GS 256MB PCI-Express (1DVI/1VGA)

Is there Anything I Missed? Thanks again for all the Help...

Have you picked a mobo?

Pick a good power supply that will support your hardware and don't cut prices here as your power supply is where it all starts.

Hopefully it is a brand PSU.

Even though it says 500Watt - with cheap ones you may have a problem.

One of the things that many people underestimate is a good quaility PSU

I can vouch for that as I have seen my mates "500 watt" power supply literally blow up after 2 hours of use. His PC wasn't that power hungry either...

Have you found your self a mother board? I'm trying to think of one to suggest, but it all depends what you need the PC for? If its for general use, then you could pretty much get away with anything compatible. But if its for gaming or higher end performance, you will need to go with something a bit more specialized.

What kind of things are you going to use your PC for?

What brand & model of hard drives?
Is the RAM dual-channel? i.e. 2x1GB + 2x512MB? I'd prefer faster RAM though.
All those components won't do jack without a motherboard to connect them all together. I prefer ASUS motherboards.
BTW, you'll also need a floppy drive to install XP on a SATA hard drive. :-( XP Setup refuses to look for extra drivers from anywhere other than a floppy.
