Hi,
It fails to explain about these usages:

I have a large monthly nut to meet ( big outlay each month)

I have the best Poker hand ( I have the nuts )
( I suspect this one implies power ( as in having big ones))

To Paraphrase:"The Help you get is proportional to the Help you give.."
 
...or, if having a great poker hand implies a "certain" near-future increase in CHIPS and we liken chips to a squirrel's acorns (often called "nuts" when talking about hoarding them for winter) and we suppose that more nuts = greater chance at survival during lean times, then "I have the nuts" could translate to "I'm taking the chips with this hand."

...or nut... I mean... or not!
