Help! I loaned my laptop to my sister for a few days, and now, whenever I create a new folder in Windows Explorer or by right clicking on the desktop and creating a new folder, instead of being named "New Folder", it is given a name of a bird - "Sparrow", "Pigeon" "Hawk" "Owl" etc.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Multiple scans with Norton, CA, TrendMicro, adaware, spybot, MS Anti-virus have been negative.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like a prankster program. Id run a full system scan below on this. MIght not find anything but worth a shot. Im thinking your sister or a friend of hers installed one of those programs to toy with you. Not sure what but it sounds like a prankster program.

Housecall(run full system scan)

He he he... this is an oldie, but goodie...

See if you have AllZip (a freeware zip proggy) installed... then disable it from Autorunning (MSCONFIG)...

or Deinstall it and use another proggy like WinZIP($), WinRAR($), or 7zip (Free)...
