If you were in the USA you could beat those prices at The 7200 Maxtor would be better if you have a fast CPU, fast IDE controller, if not, I'd go with the 5400. I have the 40Gig Diamond Max 5400. I like it just fine. I paid $72 including shipping, but it came down in price and they have sold out of it. Here are the Maxtors they have now:

For the extra fiver the 7,200rpm drive is far better value.
True our American friends have it cheap in the States but in the UK thats a good buy.
The UDMA 133 may not be of benefit with your current moby but will give you a bit of future proofing for your next rig.
Also if you have a fast PC why bottle neck the performance with the slower 5,400 drive? doesn't make sense holding it back for the sake of £5/$8.
Of course the 5,400 drive is quite adequate and probably more suited to a budget concious Celeron/Duron user, but as a main drive for an
Athlon XP/Pentium P4 go with the 7,200 ATA133.
Martin Just trying to help, sometimes falling short, I am only human after all.
