I have inherited some example code which proports to be using X Windows and OpenGL commands. When I try to run a pre-built program I get an error as follows:
... fatal: libXpm.so : open failed : No such file or directory.
I can't find libXpm.so any where.

When I attempt to compile the sources I get into trouble because one of the sources "includes" <GL/gl.h> which I can not find. Is there an "addon" commercial or shareware which supports OpenGl on the Solaris?
Thanks,
Solaris (at least 2.6 and above) comes with OpenGL support built-in. However, that doesn't mean it was actually installed with the OS. Are you the sysadmin or do you just have an account on the system?
If you have root, you can just pkgadd the OpenGL support from the OS CD. If you don't have root, email root and ask root to do it for you.
Phillip Cohen
PhillipCohen@netscape.net
