Hi, I've used animated GIF's for a long time, and am a self-taught user of Photoshop and ImageReady.

I have an animated GIF that consists of about 30 total frames...

I want to play the first 13 Frames once, and the rest indefinitely. I have looked everywhere, and still can't find a solution. Please let me know if this can be done. It won't be the end of the world if it can't....thanks in advance though.

Hi Kyle,

You can't do that. You can either set the .gif to play once (as a whole) or repeat the whole gif.

Perhaps you could set a javascript timer to start timing once the image has loaded fully and then set it for the exact duration of the first 13 frames then have your JS script switch to another gif which would be the rest of your frames looping infinately.

Or just use flash. You could accomplish what you want with flash.

Hope this helps!
