I have a back-end DB installed on the intranet and several front-ends installed on each user's PC.
is there any eay to monitor the users which are connected to the-back end at the same time?

I did not define user levels yet and everybody is entering the database without loging on.
Thanks

You may want to assign a version number to the front ends. This will give you the ability to update all users to the latest frontend each time they open the database.
save the front end version number locally on the front ends and save the current version number of the front end, which your users should be using, on the backend.
No need to check for user ID unless you have different front ends for different users.

Always make your words short and sweet. Because you never know when you may have to eat them.

Try this:

Right click on the icon "My Computer" and select Manage.
Then Right click on 1st item in the Tree ("Computer Management (Local)).
Then Select "Connect to Another Computer"
Then Enter the name of the computer your back-end resides on (or select Browse to find it).
Then expand "System Tools"
Expand "Shared Folders"
Expand "Open Files"

Now you will see all of the open files on the machine and who has them open.

Thanks Remou,
I tried AppUser and t works well.
it gives some error messages but catches the information and does the job.
I recommended to others too.
